Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Guardianship of minor

When my brother and his wife were killed in an accident I became legal Guardian of person for 3 teenage children. They now say they want my brother to be their guardian because he reminds them of their dad (and would let them run wild). I do not feel that would be in thier best interest. They have threatened to get a lawyer. Can they just change guardian like that?

There has been so much interference by others I almost feel it would be better to move them to another State. Is it possible to ''transfer''guardianship to a sister in another State.

Re: Guardianship of minor

Basically, they can get an attorney if they want (unlikely-who will pay?) and try to change guardianship, which is very difficult to do if you are a good person. Transferring is probably not a good idea either.
