Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

hearing

not understanding the rules on two separate hearing I did not file or response to documents given to me. now a indirect civil contempt is on the table. i just now respond to my wife's attorney in written form. can I be put on jail on my next hearing date even tho I have now gave my wife's attorney everything I'm looking for.

You should file your response with the court, just giving it to the attorney doesn't tell the court you filed a response. Additionally, you must show up to court, or you risk being thrown in jail. Make sure to bring whatever it is the attorney is asking for.
