Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
Loss of Affection Lawsuit
I cannot find the law about "loss of affection" anywhere. I'm not sure if it is listed under "family law", civil or what?
I'd like to know anything you know about the subject, espescially the statute of limitations.

Hello -
You are probably referring
to alienation of affections.
That is a civil action where
a spouse could file suit
against their spouse's
lover. It probably is not
used a great deal, however
it is a civil action and
probably can be located in
the index section of the
Illinois Compiled Statutes.
