Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

can I suet a movie theater to small claims court

my girlfriend and I were attacked ata local theater by a group of young men. we warned security beforehand they removed the teens and let them back in as a result the men along with nine other men attacked us during the movie. security did nothing to prevent this. they also were not doing their job if they allowed a large group to enter the movie towards the end. we suffered minor injuries but can we sue for neglect, pain and suffering and emotional distress. whats the best course of action to take. we have already spoken to the regional office with no luck. they are unconcerced and giving us the run around. since the kids were arrested and are underage can we sue their parents as well. who is at fault?

You can sue in small claims court. Your best bet is to sue the theatre as there are so many others that a small claims court is not going to look fondly upon a small claims case with that many defendants. Also, the theatre will have insurance so the collectability of a judgment will not be an issue. Good luck.
