Validation of Credit Card Debt

Illinois: What proof of validation of credit card debt is required from debt collector to prove debt exists? Collector required to present to court the signed agreement between parties?

There is no simple answer as to how much proof it takes to win a collections case. The plaintiff must present enough evidence that the debt exists to form what is called a prima facie case. Then the defendant gets a turn to present its proof. In the end, whoever is more convincing wins.
