Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

My husband and I work for the same company in the same building. He is a manager and I am not, he was called in by the companys asset protection concerning a payday loan I apllied for. He was questioned for ours and refused to sign anything they presented because they were inplicating me. Legally is he able to use spousal privilege in combatting the companys COBC that requires him to discuss other employees. It never mentions spouses as I guess it is rare that a manager and craft employee work at the same location.

Spousal privilege applies in a civil or criminal law suit. Using a more practical approach, in this economy, I would be very careful about making waives unless there is significant information that needs to be protected as opposed to being a matter of principle. You have to conside whether you want to put your jobs in jeopardy.
