Is it legal to suspend an employee without pay when they were sick from work with a doctors note? Is it legal to physically hold a door shut when you are a mangaer to keep the employee in a room?

Possibly not, depending on circumstances and the size of the company.

Is it legal to physically hold a door shut when you are a mangaer to keep the employee in a room?

This is a trick question, right? Unlawful or false imprisonment is a felony, and can lead to some exciting civil litigation as well. And maybe the Thirteenth Amendment might come into play here somehow? Please tell me this is a hypothetical question. Or give the employee my telephone number.
