Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

Question Of Possible Job Discrimination

If a person has the qualifications that has a client calling several times a day, trying to get you in for an interview, you take the test, pass in an extraoridnary time frame and then they tell you after you call that someone else was hired. You upon arriving at the Company notice that they have no people of Color there and you wonder if this was the reason that after trying so hard to get you in, that once you appear in person and your race is known, they decide to go with and x-employee and they don't need your service. Why were they trying for you so hard if race would be a factor. The area where the job applicant live is classified as a predominately one race and any other is a small percentage. Could these factors contribute to an employers interest in hiring?

Thank You

Yes, the situation you are describing sounds very much like race discrimination. I would need more details, however, to be certain. Please feel free to contact me at 317-955-9500.
