Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

i usually work 23 hours a week at one of my jobs, but my employer is struggling, and i went down to 0 hours. she doesnt want to fire us and pay unemployment. How many days out of work beore i can collect unemployment or be officially deemed "laid off"

You should file for unemployment immediately. If the facts are as you've written, you are entitled to unemployment. You can file online.
