Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Illinois

Do I have to die first before a attorney will help me?

I reported my arms hurting to doc months ago. On Feb 27th seen at er, prescribed narcotic meds. Didn't ask for note for work followed up with my main doctors office and seen the a doctor covering my doctor march 1st, said cant work. prescribed more narcotics. Seen same doctor march 9th. ordered carpel tunnnel test. ordered mri's to be done. Seen my regular doc on Feb 16 when he returned from vacation. Told him I've been off work now since March 1st. Said, carpel test didnt look right other doc said they did. Was supposed to get back to me on that. I noticed in my file that my disability insurance paperwork said i was able to work. Makes no sence, my doctor said ask other doctor about it. Nurse never got back to me. March 17th could not walk at all, severe pain now in back. cld docs office said to rest take meds. Seen old man doc since my doc couldnt see me. Explained the pain that was seen in er and was still off work. March 30th, seen regular doctor told him about back, mri's hadnt been sent to insurance yet. severe pain in neck arms and back. On April 5th cld doctors office to ask again about mri's said they just sent request. I said, we need to hurry this along, im of work and unable to function, again told me we don't show off
