Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

Court Lingo/ Settlement Info.

In searching public court records online I came across a case summary I had been looking for. I am trying to determine if this case has been settled. The last entries of this summary indicate the following: Activity Date: 10/21/2008 Participant: XXXX

VOLUNTARY MEDIATION WAS NOT UTILIZED IN REACHING THIS SETTLEMENT

Judge: XXXX

Activity Date: 10/21/2008 Participant: XXXX

DISMISS BY STIPULATION OR AGREEMENT

Judge: XXXX

So basically my question is that does it mean that if this case was dismissed by stipulations of an agreement that an actual monetary settlement was reached? If so, should this also be an avialable public record I can find? Thank you in advance for any help.

Re: Court Lingo/ Settlement Info.

The actual settlement documents are rarely filed in court, so the answer is not likely.
