Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

drunk driver

A drunk driver hit the cab i was in. I was the only injured party and the drunk driver was arrested. Now i find out he has only a small amount of insurance. The cab company has the same amount for their underinsured coverage. (the cab company was not at fault) Should I sue the driver personally? his parents are on his insurance policy. do i have any other options?

You can sue the driver and the parents if they were the owners of the vehicle. You also may be able to sue the provider of alcohol. If you have car insurance, you might want to read the policy as a long shot that there is coverage for you in a cab.
