Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

I was wondering what a typical mesothelioma settlement amount was compared to a verdict at trial assuming you win your case. my father passed away from this and i was also wondering if your lawyer suggests you settle do you have to or can you make the decision to go to trial because i refuse to settle small because you cant put a value on my fathers life but if you have to im not going to settle for a small amount.

There is no such thing as a typical case. Your attorney is in the best position to answer this question as he or she is in the best position to evaluate the pros and cons of your case. If you chose not to settle, your lawyer will have to honor your choice.
