Illinois cook county foreclosure procedure

I lent money as a 2nd mortgage to a person.It is secured by a recorded mortgage and mortgage note.Person is behind on payments and not communicating. What is foreclosure procedure? What do I do?

Hello. A mortgage foreclosure is a court proceeding in which the lender seeks relief by going after the property in the form of a forefeiture sale. A complaint has to be filed and the defendant being sued has to be served. The statute requires a publication by newspaper as to "unknown owners, etc." I will be happy to discuss this further and in more detail.
