Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Illinois

Is this a good case.

A co-worker and myself used to be employed at a local armored car service. We were both discharged after an incident unrelated with my question. After my co-worker and myself talked with a few of the banks and businesses that we called on,a person at the bank let us know that we should check into a sexual harassment charge because of the way another employee had said numerous times that ''did you know that (Marty) is gay and that (Bob) is too, their lovers''. He had also put up signs along a couple of roads around our workplace building stating that my co-worker is gay.He had stated that we are both gay and lovers at a truck stop where our business fuels its trucks. Our manager knew about this kind of stuff going on, but never really did anything about it, and never confronted this person about it. After talking with several emloyees at 1 of these banks, they said that they would be more than happy to either write out a statement or verify this if asked when needed.Do we have a case? Thanks for your time.

Do the "gay" comments have anything to do with your discharge? If so, then there maybe something there. Otherwise, since you learned about the comments after your discharge, it could not have affected a term or condition of your employment. In other words, you would not have a very strong cause of action.
