Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

deceased father's stock certificate

stock certificate in father's name. I sent all necessary papers to etrade,

original stock certificate,

death certificate,affidavit of domicile,stock power and

letter of testimentary. All was notarized.They came back and said I need a ''LEGAL'' letter of testimentary. Everything is on hold.

What exactly do they want or what more do I need?

"Letters Testamentary" is a document issued (and stamped) by the county clerk of the court after a probate estate has been opened and an executor/administrator has been apppointed. Also, 3rd parties generally require that they be stamped within the last 60 days..
