Payment made by Cheque for booking a shop

A Director of a Pvt. Ltd. Company has taken RS.50000/- Cheque for booking a shop at a shopping complex, I have no documentary evidence reg. booking except of Bank certificate for realization of Cheque. matter is old more than 3 years. Director of Company neither refunding RS. 50,000/- nor giving the booked shop. Pl. Advise what should action i have taken?

Approach a local police station and filing a complaint for cheating. Though, in the court you have to demonstrate based on the evidence you have to pay the amount.

if u dont have any proof then the only remedy is recovery suit. If he made any publication or else then you can file a case under 420.
