Legal Question in Family Law in India

Divorce and settlement

My ex- had invested in a prime property in Mumbai while we were still together without my knowledge. I was a homemaker and we have a son together. We have been seperated for last 4 years during which inspite of making over 100K per year(he works in Europe,I am in India) my ex has not paid a penny in maintenance. I got a job and was paying for everything and also fees for my lawyer since we were in courts for divorce. Now the thing is I have lost my job and want to settle .So I guess I want to know if I can claim a share of that property as it would be a part of our joint possesions technically. Also what is a standard procedure to negotiate an out of court deal..I have no one to guide me and my ex is known to bribe people to get things moving the way he wants.

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.
