Legal Question in Family Law in India

I want to marry a widow woman and she is having a boy children.I want to change his initial also.what will be the procedure for this?and is any legal threats can be made by her in-laws(first husbands side)?please guide me regarding this

you can change the name and surname of minor children and the in laws may not be able to object to it provided the mother of children willing to change the same too.
