Legal Question in Employment Law in India

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is to do with the way the BPO industry functions.

I was an employee of Sitel India Ltd from 23rd July 2004 until 30th April 2007, my employee code being 4239. I had tendered my resignation on 13th April 2007 as I was assaulted by a colleague on 31st March 2007 on the production floor. The offender was not brought to book by the management inspite of there being eye witnesses to the event. The employee was not terminated until the time I was in the organization.

The same employee Salim Noorani had always threatened me with harm but I was patient with him. Inspite of that horrific act I was forced to compromise, with my assailant by Maninder Singh Bons & Ajay Menezes who were my Team Leader & the assailants, Team Leader respectively.

I resigned as I realized that I was not respected. I am a dignified human being and my human rights were violated. I was quiet for long then wrote to Sitel on 24th December 2008 to be re-instated as a Team Leader for loss of opportunity due to my resignation

I received no response from them & life has carried on. I have decided to take this matter to you & need advice on how to proceed further in this matter.

Sincerely

Isa Dsouza

Having resigned, there is hardely anything you can do by raising demand. It is better that you look for another opening.
