Dismissal from job
i'm a cabin crew in a renowned private airline comp and been in the comp for 4 years.Around 9 months ago,they charged me of removing 10 pcs of imli candies,meant for passengers from an aircraft while on duty for private consumption-thereby charging me of theft,fraud and dishonesty .Actually post flight,a pilferage check was conducted and the imlis were found in my flight bag.I argued that they were there in my bag from before and i had taken the imlis from a flight 5 days ago when i was travelling on a staff ticket as a passenger( with ticket's details), and that i forgot to remove them later from my bag.The comp.suspended me without wages and ordered a domestic enquiry and as usual as the enquiry officer was appointeed by the comp( and had a long relationship with the comp). as an enquiry officer, the whole enquiry proceeding,which lasted for 6 months was so designed that it looked totally biased to me.Anyways, i produced my witness from the same flight who is a co employee and was working with me on the same flight that day.But as i said I feel that Enquiry Officer is going to declare me guilty of the charges leveled against me.
What extreme punishment the company can award to me if i am proved guilty of the charges???
