Legal Question in Employment Law in India

I have joined a company and signed a bond with them that I will serve the company for 1 year and if left in between than pay them the amount mentioned in the bond, I have left the company after 3 months as i have got a better oppurtunity now iam getting notices from their side after 3-4 months of leaving them, that i have to pay the mentioned amount otherwise meet them in court , the notices are sent by a lawyer who claims that company is his client, I want to know what could be the consequences if i doesn't pay the amount also in the appointment letter their is a clause that company can fire us any time without giving any compensation or reason but if we leave them before 1 year then we have to give them the mentioned amount that is under Rs 1 lakh . Is such type of one sided bonds are legal. My friends suggested that company do send legal notices like this just ignore them .can they file a case and how much strong could be my point.
