Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My boyfriend's ex-girlfriend won't let him see his daughter and has never had the chance to meet her. What can he do? I've been told he can request a paternity test and if that's the case, will he have to pay backpay for child support for the 2 years she has been born?

That is certainly possible. He should proceed as otherwise the back child support could continue to accrue.
