Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

I had full physical custody of my daughter who was born out of wedlock. She was in my custody for 11 months and then was taken and given to her father on January 11th,2010. He had not paid any support or even tried helping to support her since she was born until right before our last court date. Even when he was ordered to pay support he failed to do so until the day before court, in which I recieved a check for $300. I had moved out of county with our daughter but was unaware I had to file certain papers. When I was finally informed of this I had recieved the run around from the court system, the judge, and the opposing counsel. I was ordered to move back in with my very large family instead of a place that accommadated me and my daughter. Through the whole custody process I had no legal representation and believe that I was treated very unfairly due to that fact. The court appointed a GAL who acted very unprofesionally and gave a verdict without even finishing her investigation. Since the court order I have looked for employment,to no prevail, and I have gotten my GED to pursue further education, and have been denied court ordered visitation. I want to know if it would be too soon to take her father back to court for custody?

It appears that this is an incomplete explanation of what happened. It is very very rare that a court denies visitation. I suggest that you post more details in this forum.

You need to sit down and talk with an attorney...it sounds like the lack of an attorney in the previous hearings may have helped cause your problems.
