Legal Question in Employment Law in Indiana

What to say or not say?

The company that I work for is interviewing for a open postion. I have found out that one of the people appling for the job, is a person that use to work for the company that my spouse works for. Here is the problem. This person is under investigation by the FBI and my spouse's company for illegally optaining files from my spouse's company. I want to warn my company, but how do I do this without being accused of slander? Also my spouse is heading up the investigation and the person in question knows that I work here.

That's the kind of questions most lawyers would not be willing to answer on a forum like this. Way too many variables here, plus other considerations.

Suggest you contact a local attorney who has an understanding of libel/slander law, plus labor law (privileged communications). There is a way to do what you want done. You just have to cross the legal t's and dot those i's.
