Legal Question in DUI Law in Kentucky

1st offense dui under age

My daughter had an DUI 2 yrs. ago. She applied for a position at a hospital. Her appl. was rescinded because she was told she falsified a legal document by saying no. The question asked was, ''have you ever been convicted of or pled guilty to a criminal offense. (misdemeanor or felony). Is she a criminal? Is this considered a traffic violation? It happened when she was 19 yrs. old, she is 21 now. Although I do realize this is not a felony, she was told that she has a criminal history & DID commit a felony. She went thru the recommended classes & dealt with the fines due. Basically would like to know what she is categorized as. A person with a criminal history? A criminal? Thank you.
