Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

My Mom needs help fast!!!!!!

Questions below the short description:

My mom has been married for 2 1/2 yrs to a guy who quit working shortly after, and has been trying to get disability for 2 yrs. He lied about having 3 previous marriages and a bankrupcy. She still tried to work it out. He spent all of his money on ''show-off'' stuff, and has been broke for awhile. He is near bankrupcy, and is very mean to mom. He owes her over $2000 for bills she paid on HIS credit card debt that he had before they married. He now says he would never repay her.

1. If she purchased the appliances etc...can we just take them out of the house? She has recipts.

2. When she leaves, can she take ''collateral'' for the bills she paid for him as a loan?

3. What if she payed for 1/2 of a piece of furniture? We want to get all of her stuff out in one quick evening when hes not there. What to do?

4. What is the FASTEST way to get a divorce from this monster? THANKS!!!

Re: My Mom needs help fast!!!!!!

She needs to speak to an attorney who can give her advice on what she should and should not take when or before she files. anythign bought during the marriage is both of their property, unless she can prove she bought it with money she had prior to the marriage or that he should not have 1/2 of it because he did not contribute to the marriage.
