Legal Question in Personal Injury in Kentucky

accident

I was involved in an accident where a girl pulled if front of me and I T-bone her going about 50 mph . Police report states her inattention was a factor. I'm hurt, but really not that bad. I sprain my knee and my arm & shoulder are really sore. Should I get an attorney, or try and settle myself.. It totaled my car, what would be my course of action?

Re: accident

If the accident happened recently I would not try to settle my claim for any physcal injuries yet to make sure that nothing serious develops. I hope you have seen good doctors who have correctly diagonosed any pyhiscal issues.

You should go ahead and contact her ins co. to get your car fixed or compensated for its value if it is totalled. Plus they should cover any medical bills. If not your insurance co. will.

Sometimes an attorney can add some value to samll claims such as this but you may be fine on your. If you missed no work, have no permanent injury, and little pain and suffering you might get anywhere from $2,500.00 to $5,000 out of court if it was clearly her fault.

I hope this helps.
