Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

I work for Ads Parish Redbook. I'm one of six reps and just started in February. I was told in one of our usual Monday morning meetings that I my check was not processed because the woman who handles all of their accounting did not direct deposit it because she wanted to see if I showed up for our Friday(May 27) afternoon meeting. Everyone received a paycheck today either direct deposit or papercheck. I have no idea when I'll receive my pay because she's taken a few days off. I asked if she's done this to anyone else now or in the past, my sales manager said no. I am the only black person that works there, that's ever worked there. I'm not the kind of person who sees color, my boyfriend of almost two years is white. But anyway, does she have the right to do things like this? It's not the first problem I've had with payroll.
