Refinancing or Property Settlement
I have a legal divorce, but a property settlement was not done. I continue to make installment payments on land my ex-husband and I made a loan for during our marriage. Can I refinance the loan in my name to have ownership of the land or is a property settlement necessary?

Community property settlement is required. It can be done simply with a joint stipulation and judgment, if your ex is cooperative.
