Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

Our Father died recently and named our minor half brother as his beneficiary to his life insurance policy, we live in the state of Louisiana... My question is- do his older children have rights to the policy pay out as well?

Technically, a life insurance policy is not part of your father's estate.

The proceeds go directly to the named beneficiary.
