power of attorney

I have the power of attorney for my elderly mother. She passed away in Dec. Will the power of attorney remain in effect so I can sign documents?

No. The power of attorney terminated at your mother's death.

To take any action, your would have to be appointed as the executor of her succession.

No. Power of attorney gives you no more power than the issuer has. Since she's now dead there is no power.
