Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Maryland

Codebtor

A friend of mine owned a small business and got involved in a Civil suit. During the process, I later signed a Promissary note to her Attorney. She is now filing Chapt 7. 1)Will this Atty now be able to go after me or is the remaining debt wiped out. It was an unsecured debt, but can he put a judgement on me if the balance is now not paid? 2)Does she list me as a codebtor on the bankruptcy forms for this creditor even though I wasn't on the initial Promissary note?

Re: Codebtor

Sounds like you are a co-debtor and that you do owe the money to the attorney; her filing bankruptcy does not absolve you of the debt. She should schedule you as a co-debtor in her petition.
