Seek immediate legal review with a licensed attorney who can look at any purported lien and related paperwork. The fraud described in your post involves a complex tangle of issues and an online post cannot fully analyze such a situation.

At the outset with any credit threat / fraud you will want to pull your complete credit and review all purported lines of credit. You would also immediately file an alert to minimize the chance that additional lines of credit get opened. Verify that the situation actual involves fraud/identity theft and not mistaken identity (In some cases a judgment against someone with the same name may affect you but not mean someone fraudulently used your name).

Purchasing real estate in a fictitious name almost always involves mortgage fraud schemes (why else would someone put something of value in another persons name?). Such fraud involves serious criminal issues (so gov't officials may investigate and pursue action), not to mention civil action between the creditors and debtor. It may also end up with civil fraud claims against the responsible individuals. It can take enormous effort and a good deal of time to deal with these issues.

Note that this post does not substitute for legal advice and does not create any kind of attorney/client relationship.
