Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

My fianc just recently got charged with 2nd degree assault by the state of Maryland. I made the call because I was scared and he had been drinking. Does he qualify for a PBJ? The only thing on his record is permitting a DUI and he had a PBJ and a fine for that and that was about 3 years ago. Also, the paperwork said that we are not aloud contact until his court date in Jan or he will go back to jail. Can this be dismissed? Could he get jail time or just fines? I had also been drinking during this incident too and might have told the police some wrong info. because we were arguing. There was a shot fired into the wall when I was not present in the home (I guess because he was drunk) and they confiscated all of his guns . His guns are all properly registered too. Please help?!

An experienced criminal defense attorney can help you evaluate the prosecution's case, any defenses that you might have, and any plea offer that might be made, so that you can decide whether to go to trial. Consider seeking a confidential consultation.
