Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
Ok my friend stole from kmart and because I was with her I was accused to they didn't arrest us at all they took our I'd then made us sign a paper saying we would get it in the mail. So does this charge go on our record? Will we be able to keep our jobs? Will we still be able to get financial aid? What is going to happen next?

If charges are filed in court, then there is a public record. However, depending on the outcome, you may be able to have the record removed from public inspection or expunged. Likewise, the possible consequences for you depend on whether or not you are found guilty in court. Conviction or even probation before judgement may cause you to lose your job and financial aid.
Discussing the details of your case here in a public forum probably is not in your best interest. I offer a free initial consultation.
What should happen next is you IMMEDIATELY get a lawyer to defend you. If you go to Court alone, you will get steamrolled. If you get a good attorney, they will protect your interests and get you the best possible disposition.
