Legal Question in Education Law in Maryland

University Claim

University claims $2200 for unattended classes. Actually I did not register for any class. I just wanted to know about on-line classes and inquired about taking a few classes. Some one at University registered on-line classes. I did not know about registration and I did not attend any classes. Now university and State Education Department asking me money for the unattended classes. What should I do.

Re: University Claim

Sounds like a strong letter from an attorney might help. Obviously if the state refuses to relent you are starring a small claims case in the face. Why not call the county bar association and see if there is a lawyer who will handle the case pro bono.

Good Luck.
