If my child father is filling for joint legal physical custody and visitation and I no longer live in the state of VA will the case go on?

If you've been in MD at least 6 months, and the child has been with you, you can probably get the case heard in MD. While a court is likely to grant joint legal custody, it is doubtful that it would grant joint physical custody given the distance between your residences, even if you're in Prince George's County. Perhaps he's just seeking visitation.
