Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

College Payment

My husband was divorced in 1999. His agreement states that he will pay for the minor child's attendance at any college she chooses in full inclucing tution, books, room, board, travel and living expences. She will be 18 before she enters college. Would we still be bound since she will no longer be a minor child?

Re: College Payment

Yes. The agreement is a contract between the parties and the reference to the minor child is most likely clearly indicative of the child of the parties. The fact that she will no longer be a minor does not change the terms of the agreement.
