Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

I stayed in the hospital for iv antibotics for possible infection. In Maryland can a hospital doctor look through all your medical records (records from doctor seen outside of hospital) and contact those doctors for anything? If so do the hospital supposed to keep a record/track of this.

The hospital doctor wouldn't have access to records from private physicians unless you signed a release for same, which you may have done when you were admitted. As to your second question, there wouldn't necessarily be anything in the hospital records indicating what records were examined by any particular provider. If they were trying to determine what may have caused an infection, I would think you would want the hospital to have access to whatever medical information is available to assist them.
