I work for a cable company while installing cable in Mcdonalds I slipped and fell in the back by the fry machine. turns out the employee was mopping but didnt get the puddle of water(about a inch) up. I couldnt move 911 was called went to e.r�I tore UCL in both thumbs�and so far neck/lumbar strain(aggravated pre-existing injury)�had surgery(fusion) on lumbar 2006. Both thumbs need surgery..given the info�just the injuries can bring about how much in P.I. claim?

Thanks for your post. Unfortunately an online post is not a good forum to adequately gauge damages in a pi case. Calculating damages requires a detailed review of your medical records and bills, wage records, permanency of injury and so forth. When a pre-existing condition is involved the analysis gets a bit more complicated.

I encourage you to seek legal counsel as soon as possible. Keep in mind that Maryland has strict time frames for filing suit (a statute of limitations) and if your injuries were pre-2006 you may have passed the timeframe for filing suit against any negligent party. (You are likely also aware that on-the-job injuries may be handled through Workers Comp which involves its own set of rules and procedures).
