Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

Person found bug and larve in restaurant food

Plaintiff found a bug and some larve in restaurant food. Plaintiff did not digest the bug-infested food. Plaintiff did not go to the hospital, doctor or psychiatrist. Plaintiff left the restuarant for a minute to purchase a throw-away camera and took photos. Is there a case?

Without demonstrable illness or expense, you are hard pressed to make a claim that the restaurant or its insurer will take seriously. You can write to the restaurant--especially if it's a chain, in which case address you letter to the main office--and they will probably send you some free coupons as a gesture of good will.
