Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

Do I need a lawyer?

I was involved in a car accident in which the driver (V1) ran a red light and hit my vehicle on the passenger side. Afterwards, the driver hit another vechicle (V2). As a result, the driver (V1) and I were taken to the hospital. The policeman gave the driver of Vehicle 1, two citations. Note: There are two witnesses: bystander and the driver of Vehicle 2.

As a result of the accident, I had to take days off, cancel vacation plans, begin physical therapy, and rent a vechicle. At this time, I am waiting for my insurance--name removed--status of my vehicle.

Re: Do I need a lawyer?

An attorney can assist you with evaluating your claim and you should contact one right away. Frequently in automobile accidents, an attorney must conduct some investigation immediately in order to properly represent a client before evidence changes or becomes unavailable. At the same time, there are deadlines for filing of a PIP insurance claim as well as deadlines for filing suit -- some of which may be very short.

I would be happy to chat with you briefly about your claim free of charge on the telephone. Just give me a call at the telephone number below.

Re: Do I need a lawyer?

At the very least you should discuss your case with a lawyer. Most will give you a free consultation. If you decide that an attorney can help you, most will take their fee out of the money received from the responsible driver. If there is no recovery there is no fee.

Re: Do I need a lawyer?

Yes. Unquestionably so. Statistics show that insurance companies pay enough less to unrepresented people that the additional damages you would likely recover are substantially more than enough to cover the legal fees.
