Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland

I received a citation for my license plate not being visible on my motorcycle. The citation states the violation of 13-411a (fail to attach plates at front and rear) but through some quick research it should have been a violation of 13-411c (failure to properly maintain and fasten veh. reg. plate in visible position). I have a picture (with the officer in it) approx 15 to 20 feet behind my bike and the plate is clearly visible. The citation is for $70 and no points. To rectify the situation I went directly to my dealership and ordered a different mounting bracket at the cost of $80. Is it worth going to court to try and save myself $70 or do I not have a case?

If you are willing to go, then why not? Perhaps the cop won't show up, or perhaps the judge will agree with you.
