What is the maximum time that somebody can wait before making a complaint against an employer?

The law requires you to notify the employer initially within 10 days and to file a claim within 1 year. If you file late and there is no showing of prejudice to the employer, the workers' comp commission has the authority to excuse a late filing. Your employer should have forms to enable you to file once you notify it of an injury.
