Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

Is is illegal to transport alcohol if i am the age of 18 and there are two people over the age of 21 who do not have liscences and the alcohol was stored inside the trunk (i never even touched it) and they were unopen and we bought it for a BBQ that my friend who is over 21 years of age's house for the BBQ?
