Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

please help

my husband has been left hisex wife over 14 years ago, his ex wife has been remarried 4 times, they had two girls together one goes to college the ex now wants child support and wants him to payed for her college bills , but his daughter does not live with the mother left the house two years ago because of somemany different men in the home. My stepdaughter said she will write a letter to the court that she has not lived with her mom for the last two years the ex is going through a other divorce and is unable to get money for her other children by her 4th husband I love my stepdaughters and my husband and i do what ever we can, how can my the ex get any money when the 19 year old do not live with her mother who hjust moved into her new boyfriends house. This matter has been so nasty since I have been married to my husband and his ex still wants money and none of her daughters want to be around her because of her actions and behavior, the ex claims no money but she just got a breast inplant and a face job, will the ltter help in court from my stepdaughter that she lives on her own and still with us or friends house durnimng school break she has her school payed by fin aid

If the mother's home is NOT her primary residence she is not entitled to child support.

If the child is away at college and the home remains the primary residence that is when the custodial parent is still entitled to child support.

Is it possible for the daugther to appear in court or atleast give a notarized statement?
