inventory of real estate and personal estate

my brother suffered a stroke and i have been appointed his legal guardian. i need to fill out an inventory of all his assets - real estate and personal estate. the inventory needs to be filed at the probate court. how do i do that? can i mail the form to the court? also my brother is entitled to a pension but he is not receiving it yet. do i need to include that in the inventory?

Inventory forms can be obtained from the local probate court with instructions. These will include what assets to include and how to account for pensions. Once completed you can mail the form to the Probate Court. You should include the file number. I am assuming you are not only appointed as guardian but also as conservator so you can deal with his financial issues.

You will also be required to file an annual accounting for your brother while the guardianship and conservatorship is active.
