Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

If you purchase a home and 48 hours after the deed is recorded the buyer founds MOLD in the closet that was undected by a home inspector, because it was covered by wallpaper and clothes . . . Is the seller liable?

The falling wallpaper had been taped back into place by the seller and the seller was asked prior to offer if there was mold and they answered "I don't think so."
