Re: My Dad Just Passed - My Sister is Executrix

My condolences on your Father's death. Within 90 days of death a will must be filed in the Probate court of the County where the decedent resided, where it becomes a public document. You and your other sister have a right to request a copy sooner than that from your sister or the attorney, if any, hired to probate the estate. If you truly have reason to suspect deviance you and/or your other sister should retain an attorney to protect your respective interests. Good Luck!

The contents of a will are a public record, once it has been filed with the Probate and Family Court in the Massachusetts county where he died.
